When I decided to tear down the PublishSmart web site and rebuild it as a weblog, I ran into the hidden monster that lurks in the depths of every renovation plan: scope creep.

I added a new feature here, embellished an existing structure there, and tweaked the colors and layout everywhere. The end result? I stayed on schedule for the original plan, but the extras… well, they’re running a little behind. So pardon the dust, and step over the stray 2×4s lying in the floor. The grand opening has been delayed a few days.
